Join us for the launching event of APR’s “Asia Learning Series”. The first event of the Series, co-hosted by IFAD and theKorea Rural Economic Institute (KREI), will feature the Korean development experience. Korea’s phenomenal track record of rapid economic growth and poverty eradication over the past fifty years offers valuable lessons for the Asia region and beyond. A conversation with senior and high level officials and representatives from Korea and other countries will draw lessons and identify options for possible application elsewhere.
The Asia Learning Series aims to promote knowledge sharing and scaling up of successful development approaches across the region and beyond. Each event of the Series will explore a relevant, contemporary development theme. By bringing together a broad range of experiences and perspectives of the public and private sector, development partners and civil society, the “Asia Learning Series” constitutes a unique forum on rural transformation.
